Create your account
Registration happens inside the game client. Use an e-mail address you actually read: that is how account recovery works.

Download the client
The official installer lives on the download page. Check the published checksum before installing — that is how you make sure the file was not tampered with.

Install and update
On first run the client downloads the latest world files. Let the update finish before going in.

Pick your character
Name and appearance are set at creation. The name shows up on the public ranking, so take your time.

Leave the first town
The game does not hold your hand. Talk to the service NPCs, grab the basics and walk until the encounters get hard.
Nobody on the team will ask for your password.
